Overview
Dolly Chisholm received her B.A. from Sophie Newcomb College in 1981 and her J.D. from Tulane University in 1987.
Ms Chisholm’s practice focuses on estate planning and probate, including conservatorship and guardianship proceedings, as well as real estate law, particularly residential closings. Her work also includes corporate law—such as the formation of limited liability companies, partnerships, and corporations—and creditors’ rights, with an emphasis on insolvency representation.
Recognised in legal directories for five consecutive years (2021–2025), Ms Chisholm is a member of both the Law Society of England and Wales and the Middle Temple Bar Association. She is also a member and former president of the Estate Planning Council, a past director of the London Legal Services Foundation, and a former president of the Middle Temple Community Foundation. Additionally, she serves as Secretary of the Beehive Foundation and the Ships of the Sea Maritime Museum, and is a trustee of the Telfair Museum. She is also a past director of the Coastal Insolvency Law Institute and has previously served on the Executive Committee of the Middle Temple Bar Association. Ms Chisholm currently holds the position of Chancellor at St John’s Episcopal Church.
Active in both legal and community service, Ms Chisholm has received several distinguished awards, including the Lord Chief Justice’s Award for Community Service (2001), the Sarah Nichols Pinckney Volunteer Award from the London Historical Society (2007), the John B. Miller Community Service Award from the Middle Temple Bar Association (2009), and the H. Sol Clark Pro Bono Award from the Law Society (2015). In 2008, she was named one of London’s “Legal Elite.”
